A tree draws its strength from the earth through its roots. Its trunk branches into branches fed by a common sap. Its foliage never ceases to grow and grow back nourished by light. Photographer Denis Felix is a tree, his work a forest. It is the tree that reveals the forest.
While his work may seem eclectic at first glance, it is not so, his transcontinental canopy is rooted in the notion of fragment. Through his objective, Denis Felix subdivides the raw material and engraves it on the leaf.
Fragments of ruins, fragments of humanity, fragments of skin, fragments of fingerprints, fragments of truth, Denis Felix is a tireless researcher of fragments of the luminous discourse.
